Parents.

Beavers are a pretty fascinating animal, in my books. First off, they are rodents, one of the largest in the world. They mate for life, and the kids live at home for up to 3 years, unheard of in the animal kingdom! Also, the female is the central figure of the beaver family. In hiking through the woods in my childhood home I would often see beaver families, and lodges, and the gnawed trees. The beaver is on the back of our nickel! Beavers: not just slang for vaginas. A Special Hallowe'en Treat . . .

The first ever Scratch Animation!

So, as I'm sure you realize, I LOVE Hallowe'en. And no, I don't mean the fact that I get to dress up like a priest, I mean the good-natured part of Hallowe'en. The kids having fun, dressing up, and just the memories that I have from my childhood and the activities at school and such. I also love the general feel and "vibe" of October. And most importantly this time of year is my favourite time to draw comics. I love drawing Hallowe'eny stuffs!

RSS, new banner, and Twitter......

So, a couple things I wanted to tell you about......

First off, I made an animated Halloweeny banner for scritchscratch.com:

Secondly, I've got RSS hooked up for the site now as well. But here's how I set it up: There are currently three RSS feeds available on the site, one for NEWS, one for SCRATCH COMICS, and one for CYRIUS. The reason there are three different feeds is so that you can pick and choose what you want in your feed. Maybe you only like a certain comic, and don't want the news updates, well, no prob! Maybe you want it all! That's fine too!

Also, if you are into twitter, you can also follow scritchscratch comics there as well now. There is a button link on the main page as well.

I guess that's it for now!

I'm working on two animations which will be up soon. One for Cyrius, and a Scratch one for Halloween.

In other news, I have decided that corn on the cob, when eaten once a year, or, at least, infrequently, is SIMPLY THE BEST THING EVER. Let me paint the picture for you: fresh corn on the cob, boiled, melted butter, and some salt. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. DEElicious. When I was a kid I used to eat it like a typewriter. You know, "chomp-chomp-chomp-chomp-chomp-DING!" rotate and repeat. Those were the days. Now, I just eat it like a ravenous wolf.

Hello World!

Sooo......  this begins the blogity blog of scritchity scratch.   The website launched today, Monday Sept 22, 2008, and I'm quite excited!  Please feel free to go on over and peruse the site and check out all the archived scratch comics!

This is definitely representative of the fact that I have been MIA from doing the comic thing for awhile.  I am psyched to be back at the drawing board!  Literally!  Ha!
